Yamaha Electric Bike Mid-drive Motors

We are very excited to offer a new Yamaha mid drive equipped system on our Haibike line bringing a price point we could never offer with Bosch. Yamaha released their first eBike system in 1993, now manufacturing over 300,000 electric bike systems a year and, to date, their system is implemented on over 2.7 million eBikes worldwide. Those are some amazing numbers and should give you more the enough confidence in their mid drive system.

Select between “down tube type” and “rear carrier type” to fit the application.
We have a 400 Wh lineup for the down tube type and 500 Wh new for 2017.

Mid-Drive Motor

We have succeeded in developing one of the world’s smallest and lightest drive units. This involves the direct transmission of the motor power to the crankshaft, providing for a minimal exterior design.
The high-power motor has ample amounts of low-down torque, making electrical assist on hills and gravel roads – under the hardest of conditions – extremely powerful.
